2011 Christmas Memories

 CHRISTMAS EVE
Christmas Eve was an eventful day for us.  Daddy had a special Christmas Surprise that he was working on all day so Elli and Mommy spent most of Christmas Eve on our own.  Our first stop of the day was to Grandpa Duckworth's.  Elli had a great time opening her first Christmas presents and I think she may have gotten a little spoiled on our first stop.  Our next stop was to Christmas Eve Service at church and then daddy finally got to meet up with us at Great Grandpa Proper's house.

CHRISTMAS DAY
What an amazing Christmas Day it was for us.  This was by far the best Christmas.  Daddy outdone himself and surprised mommy with new bedroom furniture and Santa brought Elli a few surprises too.  After an eventful morning with Elli and M&M it was off to Pa & T's house for some more presents and fun.

M&M even got to join us Christmas morning for a few surprises of their own from Santa

A Sweet Christmas Surprise

We have come to find out that we have the best babysitter that anyone could ever ask for!  Elli loves Miss Kelsey and we are so thankful that we have her to take care of our little Elli. I only had to work a couple days this week due to being able to take a little bit of time off around the holiday.  When I picked Elli up from Kelsey on Tuesday, she had the best Christmas Surprise for mommy and daddy.  Kelsey told me that Elli wanted to do something special for us......and special it was.  Waiting for us were some very sweet framed Christmas photos of our sweet little Elli along with some homemade ornaments of Elli's hands and feet for us to always have to put on our Christmas Tree.  Thank you so much Kelsey for taking such wonderful care of Elli and treating her like your own.

Check out these adorable pictures!

Merry Christmas from our Family to yours!

6 months ( and then some)

Elli is almost 7 months old and is on the move!  At her 6 month appointment she weighed in at 17 1/4 lbs and was 27 1/2 inches in length.  Still up there in percentile in length at an amazing 96th!  I don't know how she is doing it but I am sure based on the height of her mommy and daddy she will slow down at some point.  Elli is now crawling EVERYWHERE!  She loves to go after the Christmas Trees and Presents and everything else she isn't supposed to get into.  I think Christmas morning is going to be so much fun - she even unwrapped at Christmas present at Miss Kelsey's that wasn't hers - oh boy we have our hands full!!
She gets so excited when it is time to eat her baby food and cereal.  She seems to like most baby foods we have introduced to her so far, not so sure about the peas but still eats them all up.  Elli jabbers away at everything and is starting to pull herself up to her knees on things.  It is so amazing how in one month she has learned and discovered so many new things.

Stay tuned tomorrow for some adorable pictures that was a surprise for mommy and daddy from Elli.....well more so from Miss Kelsey!

All ready for Santa

After wanting to put up our Christmas decorations for the past three weeks, Matt finally agreed that after Thanksgiving we could. It was a whole week process but we finally got the decorations inside finished. Elli added a little help as well and everything looks great!
