Fun in Cincy

This past weekend we spent in Cincy with our good friends Canon and Lori. We had a much needed adult weekend without the kids. Elli stayed with Pa & T and did great. It was very hard to leave her for the first time overnight but we managed. We had an awesome dinner at Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse and even met a celebrity. On Sunday, we went to the Bengals game to watch them play the Colts. This was my first experience at an NFL game and I must say that I am now a fan!!

We had great seats....a big thank you to E.Z.

4 Months

I know this is a little late since Elli turned 4 months a week ago but we had our doctors appointment on Thursday and I wanted to wait to post our updates from the appointment. Elli weighs 13lbs and 13oz and is now 25 3/4 inches long! She is growing so fast! Elli got her four month shots and they seemed to bother her more than the first set. She was so fussy and hardly slept at all that night! Over the past two months Elli has really become a happy baby. She is always smiling and usually the only time that she cries now is when she is tired or when she wants our attention. She is grabbing at everything in site and is trying to "scoot" herself to get to what she wants. She is so sweet, anytime we have had a long day at work she always seems to give us that pretty smile and make us forget all about it!

Elli loves to play with her feet. Her favorite is to be in nothing but her diaper and play with her feet. She would do that for hours if we would let her!

Loves those fingers!

Happy Anniversary Matt

Today, Matt and I celebrate our 2 Year Anniversary. What an amazing two years it has been. God has blessed us in so many ways but bringing us together and giving us our sweet little Elli are the most wonderful blessings anyone could ever ask for. Thank you Matt for being the most amazing husband and father to Elli. I love you more than you could ever know.

Family Day

Today was a very special day for us. Because our work schedules are so busy and our lives are a little on the crazy side, it is very rare that we get to spend a whole day together just the three of us. Today was a treat for us, we took Elli to the Columbus Zoo and I think we enjoyed it just as much as she did. Elli was an angel all day. The polar bears and the elephants seemed to be our favorites from the day.

Go Bucks!!!

Fall is a favorite time of year in our house and I think for Elli it will be too. The start of Fall is always kicked off with the first college football game of the year. Today we watched the first OSU Football game of the year vs. Akron. Elli was asleep during kickoff but watched some of the second quarter with mommy. Is Elli a future Buckeye or Bulldog??? Time will tell. GO BUCKS!!!

Three Months

Elli is three months old today! What an amazing month it has been. Elli is now rolling over, holding her head up really well and talking up a storm. Elli also got to meet Auntie Heather, Uncle Jer, and cousins Annie and Millie for the first time this month. Mommy went back to work a couple weeks ago which was really hard, but we have adjusted pretty well. When mommy is at work Elli stays with her new sitter, Miss Kelsey! Kelsey has been wonderful and has been very patient with me as I check in on Elli every so often. She also sends me pictures most days of her which has helped with the transition back to work greatly.

Pretty Smiles

Yeah!!! We can play in our Bumbo now!

Flowers Blooming

Elli's Flower Garden has begun to bloom so we thought we would post a few updates on the progress. Despite some damage done by Elli's brothers most of the flowers have made it through. The sunflowers were the hardest hit so we are not sure if any of them will make it and the jury is still out on that one. We made an adjustment to the invisible fence so that Elli's brothers couldn't get to the garden, so next year we will be able to do a lot more with it. Enjoy!
