One Month Check-Up

Wow, it is hard to believe but our little Elli is one month old! They say time flies and to enjoy every momment and I know now this to be so true. We had our one month check-up today and Elli weighed 9lbs 6 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. Unfortunately, Elli has been suffering from a little bit of Colic which makes our evenings sometimes hard to console her but we are getting through it the best we can. We also found out today that she has just a touch of acid reflux. Overall, our check up went very well. Elli brings joy to our lives everyday and it is so exciting to see what faces she will make next and what new things she will discover.

Celebrating Father's Day

Father's Day this year was a very special one. Elli celebrated with her Daddy his first one. He has been such an amazing Daddy to her and an amazing husband to me and taking care of us every day. We wanted to get him a speial gift so Elli got her Daddy a fun gift so he can keep track of Marrs and Mendel when they go hunting. After celebrating with Daddy we traveled to Pa & T's house to celebrate with Pa. Elli got to play with cousin Em while Daddy and Aunt Heidi made dinner for Pa. We hope all the other Daddy's had agreat Father's Day too.

Elli's Flower Garden

It seems that almost every member of the Knisley Family has some sort of "Garden." Most have gardens for growing produce and others have herb gardens for adding a little spice to their cooking. At this Knisley home we decided to plant a flower garden for Elli and of course for our enjoyment as well. Last weekend Matt spent most of the day tilling up an area that already existed on our land (previous owners produce garden) and we strapped Elli in the front pack and planted our garden. We planted an assortment of sunflowers and wild flowers. Elli's brothers even decided to help out too. Lets just hope that they don't tear up the flowers once they start to come up.

Bath Time

A few days ago, prior to Elli's first doctor's appointment she received her first "bath". Elli didn't seem to like it much but hopefully she will like them with time. She received a good report at her doctor's appointment and is almost back to her birth weight. She weighed 8lbs 5oz and was 21 inches long. We go back for a follow-up next week to see how things are going. Since Mommy is not quite aloud to drive yet, a big thanks to "T" for driving us to our appointment.

Our Sweet Little Lady

Finally, our sweet little one is here! After a long 9 months and over 24 hours + of labor, our sweet Elliana Marie was born on May 31st @ 11:25p.m. She was 8lbs 7 ounces!! We have set in to somewhat of a routine and are learning more and more each day about parenthood. Elli is a true blessing in our lives and we thank God everday for giving us this precious little miracle.

Baby Knisley Update

I apologize that this is a little late posting but our internet has been down for the 3 weeks and just got fixed today! I wanted to post a quick update from our last ultrasound. It was amazing to see Baby Knisley's little features and everything seems to be going as well as can be expected. The heartrate was 149 and weight around 1 pound 2 ounces. Sorry to dissapoint everyone, but we didn't cave in and find out if it was a boy or girl. Well at least I know I looked away when it was time but not so sure about Matt. What do you think it is?
