Three Months

Elli is three months old today! What an amazing month it has been. Elli is now rolling over, holding her head up really well and talking up a storm. Elli also got to meet Auntie Heather, Uncle Jer, and cousins Annie and Millie for the first time this month. Mommy went back to work a couple weeks ago which was really hard, but we have adjusted pretty well. When mommy is at work Elli stays with her new sitter, Miss Kelsey! Kelsey has been wonderful and has been very patient with me as I check in on Elli every so often. She also sends me pictures most days of her which has helped with the transition back to work greatly.

Flowers Blooming

Elli's Flower Garden has begun to bloom so we thought we would post a few updates on the progress. Despite some damage done by Elli's brothers most of the flowers have made it through. The sunflowers were the hardest hit so we are not sure if any of them will make it and the jury is still out on that one. We made an adjustment to the invisible fence so that Elli's brothers couldn't get to the garden, so next year we will be able to do a lot more with it. Enjoy!

Playdate with the Twins

Today, we spent the early afternoon with my cousin and her Twins, Ethan & Emily. Ethan/Emily & Elli are 11 weeks apart. We discovered that the three "E's" are probably going to get into a lot of mischief when they get older. Hopefully, Elli won't cut her own hair and blame it on Emily, right Holly?

Emily & Ethan....sweet as can be.

Two Months

Our little Elli is growing up right before our eyes. This week she turned two months old. As you can see below Elli was not to happy about her doctor's visit this time. Yes, she received her shots and she did not like it one bit. Thank goodness Daddy was there to help us at the doctor. Elli weighed 9lbs 15 oz and was 23 inches long. She is in the 25th percentile in weight and 75th in Height. Elli has been sleeping through the night for the past two weeks!!!! Yeah a big plus for mom and dad! She has really been talking and interacting with us more and more each day. She loves to be outside and lay on our shoulders and cuddle.

Sweet Smiles

The past couple of weeks Elli has really started to show her little personality. She has been "talking" to us and has been smiling more and more each day. Each day her Colic seems to get a "little" better, but she still has her moments of course. She has also slept through the night on two seperate occasions. It is hard to believe our little girl will be eight weeks old this week.

July 4th Weekend

The 4th of July festivities are always a favorite for us. This year we were able to celebrate Elli's first 4th of July experience with her. Our weekend festivities started out on Sunday with Libby's Birthday Party and fireworks. Although Elli was in the middle of an 8 hour off and on crying and fussing marathon, we were still able to enjoy spending time with friends and celebrating Libby's birthday. The only time Elli did not cry that night was during the fireworks!!

Monday it was off to Pa & T's house for more food, fireworks and fun. Elli had a much better day on the 4th and again slept through the fireworks. The fireworks were the best yet. We had a great weekend and can't wait until next year!

One Month Check-Up

Wow, it is hard to believe but our little Elli is one month old! They say time flies and to enjoy every momment and I know now this to be so true. We had our one month check-up today and Elli weighed 9lbs 6 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. Unfortunately, Elli has been suffering from a little bit of Colic which makes our evenings sometimes hard to console her but we are getting through it the best we can. We also found out today that she has just a touch of acid reflux. Overall, our check up went very well. Elli brings joy to our lives everyday and it is so exciting to see what faces she will make next and what new things she will discover.

Elli loves her new swing!
